Q. I can see the product; will it always be visible? Will it discolor?
A: Clear Armor is a 6-mil urethane film manufactured by 3M. Although there are slightly visible lines, it is the best alternative to unsightly and expensive damage caused by rocks, bugs, loose asphalt, and other road debris. Clear Armor is perfectly clear, and guarantees not to discolor for the warranty period after product installation.

Q: What about the long-term effects of the sun?
A: Clear Armor has a built in UV inhibitor protective coating that protects the vehicle’s paint and natural luster from harmful rays. The only recommendation that Clear Armor, Inc. suggests to the auto owner is that they periodically wax the uncovered portion of their vehicle with a reputable UV auto wax product so as to preserve the luster and beauty of the vehicle’s exterior paint.

Q: Will it peel or crack?
A: Clear Armor Protection, Inc. warrants the material not to peel or crack for the warranty period after a certified installation. However, hundreds of vehicles have had paint protective film installed, some exceeding ten years, and none of the vehicles exhibited peeling or cracking due to material defect. As a matter of fact, some auto-owners state that ?My car has worn out, but the film never did!?

Q: What is the warranty coverage against paint damage?
A: Under its Limited Warranty, Clear Armor Protection, Inc. will repair, at no charge to the owner, up to a value of $1500.00, the resulting damage caused by Clear Armor Automotive Paint Protection System. To date, no claims have been made for any repair as a result of having installed Clear Armor’s Automotive Paint Protection System. Both the protective film and installation adhesive have been tested and proven to NOT cause damage to OEM approved vehicle paints. For further details, please refer to the Limited Product Warranty.

Q: Is the product removable or reusable?
A: If for any reason you wish to have the product removed, please have an authorized Clear Armor, Inc. dealer remove the product so as to not damage the paint of the vehicle during the removal process. Each paint protective product is designated for one application and may not be reused.

Q: What if the vehicle is in an accident and a covered area is damaged?
A: The Limited Liability Warranty does not cover any auto accidents. However, the customer may have Clear Armor reapplied for a fee to the affected area once vehicle has been repaired.

Q: How long is the installation process? Is it easy to install?
A: The installation process takes approximately 2.5 – 4 hours to complete depending upon the complexity of the kit being installed. Proper installation requires that a Clear Armor trained and "Certified" installer properly fit and attach the film to the vehicle. Thereby guaranteeing quality results that would not otherwise be attainable by a non-certified installation.

Q: What would the customer expect after a Clear Armor installation?
A: There is a 3-4 week curing period after the installation of Clear Armor depending upon the outside temperature and humidity. During this time, there may be visibility of slight blemishes and clouding which is normal. Over a matter of days, these blemishes "breathe" out as the Clear Armor Paint Protective Film cures. Following this "cure" period, the consumer should feel free to wash, wax and maintain their vehicle just as if there were no Clear Armor Paint Protective Film on it. The Clear Armor Automotive Paint Protective System is intended to require no special attention; it is maintenance free!
